Condensing
A high efficiency condensing boiler works on the principle of recovering as much as possible of the waste heat which is normally lost from the flue of a conventional (non-condensing) boiler. The best high efficiency condensing boilers (“A” Rated) convert more than 90% of their fuel into heat, compared to 55% – 75% for conventional types.
A new “A” Rated condensing boiler will use up to 40% less gas than a conventional boiler.
As boilers age, their efficiency begins to decrease and rather than using the heat produced up to 50% can be lost through the flue. An “A” rated boiler will convert at least 90% of the heat it produces and you will be doing a lot for both your annual heating bills and the environment.
